What data do I keep and why do I need it?

Name and age — collected on the basis of contractual necessity, to identify you and tailor the coaching to your situation.

Address, email address, phone number — collected on the basis of contractual necessity, to contact you regarding your sessions and manage our working relationship. I will mainly use the method you first contacted me on, but if I cannot reach you, I will try a different method.

Next of kin or medical professional details — collected on the basis of legitimate interest and legal obligation, in the event that your safety or the safety of others requires it. I will always inform you before contacting anyone on your behalf.

Session notes — collected on the basis of contractual necessity and legal and insurance obligations, to record progress, ensure accountability, and meet professional requirements. Your personal information and session notes are stored using encrypted and secure cloud storage services provided by Tresorit (tresorit.com), a privacy-focused European secure storage provider compliant with GDPR requirements. This data remains strictly confidential and accessible only by me.

Your phone number may be saved on my business mobile phone under your first name and last name initial only. This data remains strictly confidential and accessible only by me. Under applicable data protection laws, you have the right to access, rectify, update, restrict, delete or receive a portable copy of your personal data (Art. 20 GDPR), withdraw your consent at any time, and lodge a complaint with the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés) at www.cnil.fr.

Will I share your data and if I do, who will I share it with and for what purpose?

Your data will never be sold or shared for commercial purposes.

Information may only be disclosed where required by law or where there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others.

I may also discuss aspects of your coaching during professional supervision while protecting your identity and maintaining strict confidentiality, unless you have given explicit permission otherwise.

How long will I store your data for and how will I dispose of it?

Personal data and session records are retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill legal, contractual, insurance and professional obligations, currently for a maximum period of 7 years.

After this time, I will destroy any document with your personal information and delete your phone number out of my mobile phone.

Your data is processed on the basis of your consent, contractual necessity for the delivery of coaching services, and compliance with legal and insurance obligations.
